Come to the fourth of ten Swale and Medway Business Masterclasses at Buckmore Park, Chatham, ME5 9QG to hear how Kevin Byrne, inventor of Checkatrade developed his brand.
Designed for Owners and Managing Directors of SME businesses, this programme of sessions is focussed on delivering usable skills and techniques in a range of relevant topics that attendees can help to shape.
Workshop: Kevin Byrne, who developed Checkatrade into a national brand tells us how he did it and gives hints and tips on how you can develop the brand of your company.
Kevin set up Checkatrade in 1998 in an attempt to combat rogue traders from exploiting homeowners by providing a means for customers to report on their level of satisfaction and in 2014 was awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation.
In addition, Checkatrade acts as a ‘shop window’ for trades people, producing over £2billion of work for them and is used by 12 million people a year which generates a turnover of £16million.
At the heart of this success is the brand that Checkatrade has become and in this Masterclass for Swale and Medway businesses, Kevin will give his personal insight into how he built the business and how branding was a key factor to its success.
