Upcoming FSB Events

FSB is applying for the Government’s Brexit Readiness Fund

Our Westminster office team is applying for funding to help inform businesses on Brexit outcomes and implications. In the meantime, we encourage businesses to check the FSB Small Business Brexit Pack or, for particular concerns, for members to call the FSB Legal line or customer services on 0808 2020 888.

FSB Small Business Index (SBI) Q2 2019

Our most recent SBI published in Q2, shows small business confidence has experienced the largest year-on-year fall since the aftermath of the EU referendum in 2016. The next survey results will be published late September for Q3. Currently, 72% of those surveyed say they are not planning to increase investment.

Apprentice Graduation Ceremony

The first Kent and Medway Apprentice Graduation Ceremony taking place at Rochester Cathedral and organised by ten partner organisations, is shaping up very well. To date 110 stakeholders and businesses have booked for the FSB VIP Business Reception prior to the ceremony itself. Minister for Small Business, Consumers and Corporate Responsibility Kelly Tolhurst MP and Chris Brodie, Chair of LEP are guest speakers at the Business Reception. We are delighted that nearly 200 apprentices have registered to attend.

FSB Awards 2020

Entries are now open for the third annual Celebrating Small Businesses Awards. Previous Kent winners include Kent Crisps and Social Enterprise Kent CIC. We would be delighted to talk to you about sponsoring the South East Awards. For information please see www.fsbawards.co.uk.
